J. Lindeberg F/W 2015 #NYFW

What seems to be trending these past seasons throughout some menswear collections, and consider a lifestyle as well, continues to be the fuel spirit for designer Jessy Heuvelink at J. Lindeberg. For the menswear Fall 2015, his color palette focused on black, grey's and military green, depicting a collection with not only rock spirit, but with an empowering feel. And within staying truth to the aesthetic of the brand, Heuvelink paid attention to layering and sharp tailoring. This season, in particular, the designer spent time thinking on ways of continuing the edgier look from last season.

Here, there aren't shinny scarfs or any other kind of peacock elements that a Steven Tyler or other rockstar might crave (he went far as he could with the theme by including a silver leather shirt and matching biker jacket with black shearling). But overall, the best elements defining the collection were the luxury feel of leather and textiles. Wool came as crisp and polished as in a camel coat, or worn-out as in a military green brushed jacket, while leather served for sharply engineered shirt-jackets and biker cigarette-pants. Like in all Heuvelink collections, there's always a combination between the present with the past. Here, herringbone served to marry the timeless, and the silver Chelsea boots to marry the contemporary - the audience also thought that those two components were terrific enough.
